TRANSINVEST-BUDAPEST Ltd., the successor of Transinvest Engineering and Contracting Ltd. for Transportation Project, has been present and working successfully for over 25 years now. In the last 25 years, Transinvest-Budapest Ltd. has become one of the largest and most successful private company in engineering and consultancy services for infrastructure projects.
TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. uses its wide national and international experiences and connections on both the Hungarian and international infrastructure market. Whilst TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. has its major focus and activities in Hungary it has significant and successful presence abroad as well. In addition to previously gathered experiences in Algeria, Mauritius, Yemen, Uganda, TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. completed/working on various projects in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Iraq, Bulgaria, Iran and Ukraine.
TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. plays major role on the Hungarian infrastructure construction (motorways, roads, railways, water engineering, buildings, environmental, etc.) supervision market providing Independent Engineer – FIDIC “the Engineer” – services on behalf of investment companies and financing banks (Bank’s Technical Controller), also for the owners/operators. These activities have been started in 1997 regarding the construction of Terminal 2/B at Ferihegy Airport in Budapest, which project was considered to be a significant development some years following the political changes in Hungary.
Right from its establishment TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. carried out also specialized consultancy and advisory tasks in relation to several Hungarian roads, bridges and railways construction projects (under FIDIC type contracts).
As a special project TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. was the consultant and adviser for the French company Transroute International Ltd. (Egis Project presently) on the M1 motorway section between Győr and the Austrian border section, which was the introduction of motorway construction business in concession in Hungary. Dr. Károly Léderer became the chairman of the concession company ELMKA Co. (First Hungarian Concession Corporation) and in the same time Mr. László Zubriczky was appointed as the chairman of the operation company Magyar Transroute Ltd., in which TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. was 25% shareholder.
TRANSINVEST-Budapest Ltd. has been the Independent Engineer in two out of three sections of M6 Motorway implemented in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) cooperative arrangement in Hungary.
